After a three month break, THEY’RE BACK! I have missed the funny banter and juicy cultural picks selected by the British co-hosts Dolly Alderton and Pandora Sykes, who have a refreshing take on the latest pop culture. The title of the podcast was inspired by editor (Vanity Fair) and podcaster Tina Brown who coined the term ‘high low journalism’ - mixing lighter more meta references with news related items.
The funny and endearing hosts are Dolly Alderton, the best-selling author of Everything I Know About Love and Pandora Sykes, an award-winning journalist for the Sunday Times Style, ELLE and Man Repeller. They cover their favorite articles (newspapers, magazines, blogs or essays) of the week, and what they have both been enjoying (books, podcasts, TV shows etc.)
They are both writers so there is a natural emphasis on new books, writers to watch and often features author interview specials. There is no boring rambling here, the tight format keeps the jam-packed content flowing and makes the listener feel like they are part of their self deprecating girl gang.
