Cuppa Culture Social and Focus Sessions are co-hosting an interactive workshop and founder fair with a difference designed for local business owners and creatives to cultivate connection and collaboration.
Sophie Davies and Megan Flatt will facilitate an interactive workshop that helps attendees clarify the desired impact they want to make in their work and life to move forward with momentum.
This event will be at the beautiful newly opened Groundfloor Marin in downtown San Rafael. Groundfloor is an inclusive community of people from all walks of life looking to build meaningful relationships.
How it Works
The event will begin with informal connecting over drinks and light bites as attendees meet a curated group of local product and service-based vendors who can help make their lives easier (hire, refer, or collaborate with them in the future).
Sophie Davies will moderate a conversation with Focus Sessions founder Megan Flatt about the principles of her new book Focused: Reclaim Your Time, Ditch Overwhelm, Do Less, Better. Attendees will have the opportunity to workshop specific content from the book in breakout groups and design their individual impact statements. This will help attendees get clear on the impact they want to make for themselves, their work, their family/community, and the world.
This is a new and exciting way for Bay Area-based professionals to get inspired, widen their community, meet potential collaborators, and get the practical support they need to run their businesses or creative endeavors with ease and sustainably.

SOPHIE DAVIES
Sophie Davies is a tea-loving Brit bringing people together to learn and inspire in Marin County, CA. She is a brand strategy consultant and community builder with a background in PR, marketing, branding, and events in the U.K and U.S.
Sophie has previously been the co-owner of boutique agency Prim’d Marketing, events director at the co-working space The Hivery, and senior PR Director at ModusBPCM. She has worked with an international portfolio of brands including Lacoste, Birkenstock, Calvin Klein, and Hugo Boss over the past 24 years. Her passion is creating meaningful experiences over a good cup of tea to help cultivate connection and improve well-being in her community.
Megan Flatt
Megan Flatt is a business growth strategist on a mission to make entrepreneurship easier. She’s the author of Focused: Reclaim Your Time, Ditch Overwhelm, and Do Less Better and the founder of Focus Sessions, dedicated, distraction-free virtual coworking to help people get your most important work done. Megan believes you can have a thriving business, a community and a life — and you don’t need more time, you need more focus.
In Focused, she shows you how to find your focus, what to focus on, how to make the time for focus. Besides helping business owners focus, Megan is obsessed with lattes, Post-it notes and romance novels. Outside of work, you find her focus turned to her husband and two kids, probably near the water, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
